ICONIC Unveiling of their Spring '14 Collection

Last week I got to attend this exclusive event of ICONIC unveiling their new Spring 2014 Collection.

This event was held at the wonderful venue Al Qasr at The Madinat Jumeirah, and I was struck by these four stunning outfits right from the get-go.

ICONIC just so happens to be one of my favorite brands here in Dubai, purely because their items are so unique. With traveling a lot I like to find things that are beyond your norm from H&M, Zara, Topman, River Island, and ICONIC does just that. I find items that friends of mine from the UK and America have never seen before.

I think alone in the last two months I have purchased six pairs of shoes from the store, reasonably priced and very fashionable.

Here is a sneak peak of some of the attire you will be able to see come Spring:

Also the women's clothes are beautifully made and expect to see some new shapes and materials lined up for Spring:

Tiffany & Co new window unveiling!

Tiffany & Co. Dubai Mall

I was lucky enough to attend this exquisite event in the Tiffany & Co. store in the Dubai Mall. The event was the unveiling of their new decorative shop windows for the festive season with beautiful jewelry.
The event was full of lovely people, and men and women could enjoy the beautifully made accoutrements on show.

Inside the store you can see the very appropriately decorated Christmas tree (Tiffany blue), and whilst I ventured around the shop I was pleasantly greeted by all and was trying my hardest to delicately nibble on the Tiffany & Co. ginger bread man given without leaving crumbs :)

If you happen to be in Dubai stop by the store and check out these windows as seen below:

Here is me at the event with fellow fashion blogger Paul Ramos

Pop of Colour

Blazer- Forever 21

Leather Trousers- Zara

Wingtips- Steve Madden

I wanted to try and pull off double leather, and also all black without looking gotthic. I think if it wasn't for these shoes, the outfit would not work. I love how the green and black mix so well together, and the black really makes the shoes stand out.

Almost Kanye style. I've noticed Yeezy in the past do the look a lot and maybe thats where my inspiration came from, just slightly more fitted.

Fashion Forward Day 1

Shirt- Zara

Trousers- H&M

Shoes- Gisueppe Zanotti

So I just recently attended Fashion Forward a 4 day fashion event, full of designers, fashion enthusiasts, bloggers, photographers and models.

I have been waiting for a chance to wear these printed trousers and with them being loud and my new Gisueppe Zanotti's not being the easiest to miss, I decided to keep it simple up top with a fitted short sleeve white shirt from Zara.

Back to the double breasted.

Blazer- Splash

Loafers- Tods

Sunnies- Ray Bans

If your in the U.A.E found this Blazer on sale in Splash fashion in Al Ain outlet mall for a bargain of 80dhs around 15 pound 25 dollars, but looks like I just picked it up from zara for around 500dhs 100 pound 150 dollars ha. I love showing occasionally how you don't have to spend loads of money to look and feel like a boss. I brightened up the outfit by adding some purple colour Tods.

The Gentleman

Tweed Blazer- Zara

Waistcoat- Primark

Jeans- Diesel

Tie- Splash

Boots- H&M

Bag- Mullberry

Tweed is one of those materials I just find very distinguished. I decided to keep some class with a blazer and waistcoat but then add jeans to keep it slightly casual, I have also been waiting for a chance to add a pocket square and thought that this was the perfect occasion.

Originally I had planned to have the outfit opened collared but adding some colour with the tie it seemed to be a nice touch.

Tweed

Blazer- Zara

Shirt- Zara

Trousers- Zara

Shoes- Billionaire

These are some of the most comfortable trousers I own. I got them at a zara sale and loved the design and style of them, they are quite tight at the bottom which makes it perfect to show off a nice loafer. I find tweed always gives off a nice smart distinguished look, weather it be from a pair of trousers or blazer, tweed suit will be next for me ;) I also did not want to go to crazy with colour and kept everything light blue up top. Get your tweeds in for winter people.

Smart Casual

Blazer- Zara

Jumper- River Island

Trousers- Zara

Shoes- Steve Madden

Now I normally always like to wear shirts underneath a blazer, but wanted to try something different and went for this thin sweater. Thought the contrast between the grey and black blended well together.
With the outfit being smart/casual with nothing really standing out, I managed to finally wear these shoes that i've had, to really add some life to the outfit.

Green Trousers

Shirt- Topman

Skull Tie- Topman

Trousers- Express

These are the green trousers I mentioned in the previous post which I got for $8. Love the shade of pastel green and I think the white makes it stand out.

Yellow Trousers

Shirt- Cotton on

Trousers- Express

Brighten up your summer with colour. I got these trousers along with two other colours that you will see soon for a total of $20. $4 for these $8 for a green pair, and $8 for an orange pair. It goes to show you can look smart without paying silly amounts.
Now bright trousers are hard to match with and normally black or white is most appropriate, but I went for the Navy floral shirt and felt it complimented the yellow quite well.

Summer time

Hat- Zara

Vest- Cotton on

Jean Shirt- H&M

Bag- Ted Baker

Summer is here and time to bring out your hats and short shorts. I wanted to keep the outfit cool and chilled, hang up the suit for the day and get some sun on my legs.
Photographed t-shirts and still in fashion and I love the photo on this which has a slight urban feel to it. The hat was a great find on sale at zara and perfect for the summer.

Thrifting

Blazer-Thrift store

Pants-Zara

Shoes-Zara

This outfit goes to show you don't need money to look good. This double-breasted blazer is my first thrift item and trust me it wont be my last. It cost me $6 and looks like one of my most expensive outfits. Don't be so addicted to name brands and worry more on what you like, what attracts you and what fits you well.

Pocket square also thrift item as well as the collar pin- $1 each

Watch on the other hand was not from a thrift store haha- Hublot

Ted Baker Double Breasted

Blazer- Ted Baker

Shirt- Cotton on

Shoes- Gucci

Sunglasses- Quicksilver

Double breasted blazers are my favorite and feel that they give a more sophisticated look then regular blazers and when you find one your size it fits like a glove. This blazer I found in my favorite store Ted baker and was on sale from around $900 to $112 couldn't say no :) Once I had tried one double breasted before I am always on the look out and instead of a white shirt I opted for the baby blue and felt like it complimented the blazer quite well.

Finished it off with a cool Ted Baker collar pin.

Action Man

Blazer- Zara

Trousers- Rue 21

Pocket square- H&M

Bag- Urban Outfitters

Sunglasses- Ray Bans

Shoes- Wovens

Love mixing camo with smart attire. I think it pulls off a really casual retro kind of look, especially when you can add camo in other places like the bag and pocket square. The bag was a really good find too, on sale at urban for $20.

CJ and Katherine pull it off great and fashion is amazing, go follow them on instagram @ourmode

Jean under a Blazer

Blazer- Zara

Jean Shirt- H&M

Chinos- River Island

Shoes- H&M

This doesn't really get shown or worn often, rarely does jean and blazers get put together, but in some circumstances I feel like it can be pulled off.

I also like the look from dark blue to the light jean colour. The jean takes away the seriousness of the outfit and turns it completely casual.

Summer Shorts

Shirt- Topman

Shorts- Cotton on

Sunglasses- Quicksilver

These wild shorts are from cotton on, australian clothing store. Got some great shorts and great vests also check them out at shop.cottonon.com

A lot of the shorts are short shorts, and very reasonably priced. I just like the pattern on these, and like them because they're different.

Above the knee shorts are great for the summer, comfortable and keep your legs tanned.

Summer Colour

Blazer- Zara

Shirt- Topman

Jeans- Unique

Shoes- Topman

Summers here and coloured trousers are in. I've been seeing so much colour all around the fashion world from blogs, lookbooks and instagrams. They really do brighten up your outfit, also with a small  touch from a couple of accessories, it finishes the outfit off nicely.

Definitely going to be posting more pics with different colours. Stepping my game up soon, they can look great.
